About this trigram
Kun stands for the earth: holding, steady, accommodating. People with Gua 2 are traditionally called Kun-life.
The West group shares Qian, Dui and Gen; Gua 2's four favourable directions are northeast, west, northwest and southwest.
Traditional use
Kun life values steadiness: tradition suggests placing the bed by the Relationships direction and keeping regular hours. Your own directions are on the Character Card.
Direction groupings are a traditional Eight Mansions reference, not a rule; safety, comfort and practical needs come first in the home.
